This class of insurance provides cover for loss or damage arising from erection, installation and commission of machinery, plant and steel structures of various descriptions. In addition to loss or damage to the contract work, the policy also covers the equipment and machineries used in connection with the contract work. The cover is also extended to cover third-party claims in respect loss or damage to property or bodily injury arising in connection with the execution of the project wok. At the option of the insured, the policy could also be extended to cover delay in the stat up costs of the project.
